Best Grilled BBQ Ribs Recipe

Ribs with tomatoes

You will need:

  • Ribs (preferably pork) - 1.5 kg
  • Onions - 2 large heads
  • Tomatoes - 3 pcs. of medium size
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Spices: basil, parsley, coriander, oregano, salt - to taste

Let's start cooking:

  1. We take fresh, not frozen ribs, rinse them with water, wipe them with a dry towel, and cut them into separate pieces. The bone, if desired, can be separated from the meat.

  2. Cut the onions into rings of medium thickness and the tomatoes into slices.

  3. Salt the chopped meat and sprinkle with spices on all sides. In a deep bowl, combine the meat, onions, tomatoes, and greens (parsley). Crush the onions and greens with your hands, and squeeze the tomatoes. Mix everything well and leave to marinate for 1 hour.

  4. Cook the ribs on a dry, clean grill, which you can grease with sunflower oil. Do not turn the meat too often, 15-20 minutes on each side will be enough.

  5. Fry until golden brown on all sides. To check the readiness of the meat - stick a knife in, if it enters easily, and clean juice flows from the meat - the dish is ready!

Ribs with soy sauce

You will need:

  • Ribs - 1.5 kg
  • Honey - 75 g
  • Soy sauce - 7.5 tbsp.
  • Sugar - 4.5 tbsp.
  • Balsamic vinegar - 4 tbsp.
  • Garlic - 3 small cloves
  • Ketchup - 9 tablespoons
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Let's start cooking:

  1. To prepare the marinade, mix all the ingredients, except the meat, and bring them to a boil over a fire. Then add the ribs to the marinade and cook over low heat for 45 minutes.

  2. Remove the ribs and cut them into sections of 2-3 bones.

  3. Boil the marinade until thick.

  4. Grill the ribs until golden brown, and don’t forget to brush them with the remaining sauce.

Pork ribs cooked in this way are incredibly tender, and juicy, with a pleasant spicy note. They go well with boiled corn, herbs, and fresh vegetables.

The way of cooking ribs is similar: you either pre-boil them or cook them directly on the grill. That is why we recommend trying three unusual and delicious marinade recipes that will surprise even gourmets.

Kefir with onion and cilantro

For a marinade for 1.5 kg of ribs, you need:

  • Onion - 3 heads
  • Kefir (airan) - 300 g
  • Dill / cilantro - 6 sprigs
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Mix all the ingredients and soak the ribs in the marinade for 2-2.5 hours. Don't use too much kefir, it should just cover the meat.

Wine and lemon

For a marinade for 1.5 kg of ribs, you need:

  • Dry white wine - 150 ml
  • Soy sauce - 4 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
  • Lemon zest - 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger (fresh/dry) - 2 tsp
  • Starch - 2 tsp
  • Warm boiled water - 50 ml
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Mix all the ingredients and marinate the ribs for 1-2 hours. If the lemon is too sour, you can add a little more sugar.

Orange juice and honey

For a marinade for 1.5 kg of ribs, you need:

  • Orange juice - 2 tbsp.
  • Liquid honey - 2 tbsp.
  • Tomato sauce - 4 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp.
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional) - 1 tbsp
  • Wine vinegar - 1 tbsp.
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Mix all the ingredients and boil a little over low heat along with the ribs. Then transfer to the grill and cook until crispy. Brush the meat with the remaining marinade if necessary.
